AMERICAN CULTURES

What an interesting badge! Several of the Scouts wanted to try this one, and Mr. Mc was willing to act as MBC. The badge requires studying three different groups that have different racial, cultural, national, or ethnic backgrounds (one of them includes yourself).

David chose Japanese, Jewish, and WASP
Duane chose Homeschoolers, Jewish, and Mexican
Elisha chose Japanese, Jewish, and WASP
Gabriel chose Filipino, Japanese, and Mexican
Jordon chose Filipino, Japanese, and Mexican

For requirement (1), David, Elisha, Gabriel, and Jordon chose option (a), and attended the Portland Taiko Drum concert.

David, Duane, and Elisha chose option (b) as one of their two choices, and attended a Shabbat service at Congregation Beth Hatikvah in Bremerton. You can read their comments here.

Duane chose option (c) and interviewed a Mexican-American friend. Read his interview here.

Read about the contributions from people of various backgrounds here (requirement 4).
