My own wild adventures include summiting. Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador (20,600 feet through. 4,000 feet above the glacier) lost in the Colorado mountains and kayaking days. From the nearest road in Canada in the six-foot waves. Lake Superior. I may have more education if I have money this year than last. And students can take out when you want to have some adventure.

The good news is some wild adventure or low in remote locations. Many fun and exciting if you look close to home is.

My adventure Dirtbagging.

What. Is dirtbagging? Is a copy or camping. backpacking down as required. You throw things in the old series. and issued a duffel bag. Forgot comprehensive planning or imagination. Equipment. Issued additional clothing after sleeping in a leaf pile or next to the fire and use your intelligence instead of your wallet for change.

Such dirtbagging my own journey started with a car near the survey. City, Michigan (I always) to the end line. I pushed my face hoses to control and view the car. And a small pack on my laugh. I have stopped the bus in the area is forest and then. walked half - miles to go to Boardman. River Road, it crossed.

I have. homemade indoor small plastic bivy sack some snacks and something warm to wear to bed at least instead of the sleeping bag. I keep everything in my wrap on my lap. floated down the river sitting in the rear tire and my feet in the water all of my time. I steered as necessary with my hands.

Is toward evening, all trout. surfaced. I watch deer. Jump back from a river. I floated past. Before history view. blue herons hunted for fish along the river's edge. I feasted on wild strawberries and other wild plants to eat when I break. I do not have very end instead of just the flow of the river, relax and close my eyes a few minutes during the stretch. calmer. but still has elements of travel. Of unpredictability. And make the adventure.

The first rain event unpredictable. It started at camp and continued to go to twelve hours. I just may be. In dry waste bag sack. My bivy cover my head with my little umbrella. Unpredictable events into a large white tail deer on landing with me almost in darkness. Snorting His half to startle me. Death. When morning came and it continues to rain.

It is a real thunderstorm, and I will look like a tent, but not to chuck. plastic bivy is not enough. Area action. I decided it was time to go home, so I included what I have into the river and cool. climbed into the tube. storm was bad.

Once I was past. Stretch of river, forest, and I started drifting with beautiful homes ready Inc.. Bank. I put my pipe in sweater weight average indoor,,. Efforts were warm and dry. Since the late morning and I watch people storm the morning coffee through their windows. into kitchens. Sometimes some view from breakfast and I saw the flash of lightning. I was jerky and floated by.

Not want to take my hand to my ice-cold water is quickly learning how to steer through the rapids using only my feet are. paddles. I portaged around the dam through the knee - deep mud that nearly one out of my shoes. Finally, just before noon I. scrambled up steep banks close to home. I walked down street rain,. I carry copies of my umbrella. Hoses and hope my neighbors are still sleeping.

Other Adventure Wild.

Friends and I used to drive to the river, most of my hours. Parking and raised above water or hours. more. We will create a platform for the dead trees and float back to the car in which sometimes associated with fall and after Patrick. These studies have the name "Tom sawyer day". And I also educated a twenty mile bike took me down the river in Pat. My homemade through Manistee National Forest.

Other ideas? Received a letter in the wild edible plants and use. Trek short survival in the jungle near. Held against your own adventure with your friends. The bicycle and start peddling, you see that finish. The next day (bring food and water or using a route stores). If you use your imagination to find some wild adventures that do not want to travel or spend more. Money.

Bivi Bags??

OK, im looking at bivi bags with enough room to put a 60 litre bag in with me and Have seen the ones which have an aluminium pole for extra height.

This is probably a REALLY dumb questions but . . .

Would it be OK to ditch the aluminium pole, put my rucksack in the space where the pole would be, and sleep like that??

I havent got a clue about these things, am going on an expedition and dont want to learn the hard way!!

im not sure but i dont see why not
