How can I make a good cup of coffee when camping?

I've dealt with these damn coffee makers and small bags of instant coffee and still can not get a cup of coffee when I'm camping. Ideas?

My father used to take with him a French press. It is a miniature coffee with a plunger / filter it. They work very well. Personally, I just boil water and pour into the grounds and the leak for several minutes. Bring a filter with you (either on paper or a reusable mesh filter) and simply poured through the filter / screen in the cup. Pour a few spoonfuls of water boiled in coffee helps to solve so that you do not need a filter, but it has never really worked for me.
