Do they search your bags at Greyhound bus stations?

I am going on a hiking trip to Boulder, CO and I will be taking a Greyhound from NC to Denver. I will be bringing my camping equipment which includes a large fixed blade knife and a flint to make fires and other gear that may be considered a weapon. I was wondering if they will search my hiking bag and not allow me on the bus with these items. Thank you for any help in this matter.
